Why do I need a home inspection?

The purchase of a home is probably the largest single investment you will ever make, and you should have an understanding of what you are about to purchase. A home inspection is a thorough, comprehensive, visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home or building. It covers hundreds of items, everything from the basement to the roof, including the electrical, heating and plumbing systems, the foundation walls, the insulation, ventilation system, eavestroughing, attic, roof, etc.
